Cāturvidyas / learned Brāhmaṇas (contextually responding during dāna)
Scene: Brāhmaṇas with downcast faces refuse the offered donation; officials restrain and remove certain brāhmaṇas from seats/positions; the king looks conflicted.
Charity must be ethically received; when conduct compromises one’s dharmic standing, refusing gifts can be a form of integrity.
No tīrtha is directly praised in this verse; it focuses on dāna-eligibility and discipline within the Dharmāraṇya narrative.
Pratigraha-dharma (rules about accepting gifts) is invoked, emphasizing eligibility and purity of recipients.
