Yudhiṣṭhira
Tirtha: Siddheśvara
Type: kshetra
Listener: Mārkaṇḍeya (addressed as dvijoत्तama)
Scene: Yudhiṣṭhira, seated respectfully, questions a venerable sage (Mārkaṇḍeya) in an āśrama near the river; attendants listen; the distant silhouette of a Śiva shrine hints at Siddheśvara.
Dharma is learned through reverent inquiry—asking how divine attainments were achieved at a tīrtha inspires disciplined devotion.
Siddheśvara Tīrtha, presented as a place where even devas attained siddhi.
None in this verse; it is a question initiating the explanation of the tīrtha’s power and the devas’ tapas.
