Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages at Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: liberating
It presents mantra-japa empowered by Śiva-oriented yoga (Śāmbhava yoga) as a means of crossing extreme bondage, implying that liberation is ultimately secured by Śiva’s grace when the mind is absorbed in Him.
By naming Śambhu and highlighting a “supreme mantra,” the verse points to Saguna Śiva approached through mantra and devotion—typical of Purāṇic Shaiva worship where the Lord is accessible through name, form, and japa.
Mantra-japa combined with Śiva-centered meditation (Śāmbhava yoga): steady remembrance of Śiva while repeating a revered mantra, emphasizing inner purity and focused absorption rather than mere outward action.
