FAQs

It depicts ominous cosmic portents—meteors raining down and disturbances among celestial beings and their vimānas—typical of Purāṇic narration signaling upheaval or an approaching major event.

Here “vimānas” refers to divine or celestial vehicles/chariots. The verse portrays them behaving erratically—plunging and then rising—emphasizing disorder in the heavens.

Purāṇic omen passages commonly remind readers that even celestial realms are subject to disruption, encouraging humility and reliance on dharma and devotion rather than pride in worldly or heavenly status.
