Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: none
It teaches correct mantra-identification: knowing the ṛṣi (seer), chandas (metre), and devatā (presiding deity) aligns recitation with its intended spiritual power; here, devotion is anchored in Kṛṣṇa as the mantra’s devatā.
By naming Kṛṣṇa as the devatā, the verse frames technical mantra practice as Kṛṣṇa-centered worship—bhakti expressed through precise Vedic method rather than mere sentiment.
Chandas (prosody/metre) and mantra-lakṣaṇa: identifying ṛṣi–chandas–devatā and constructing the mantra’s pañcāṅga using varṇa (phoneme) analysis—an applied, technical aspect of Vedic recitation and ritual.
