Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada, within a technical/ritual-visualization context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It teaches a focused dhyāna-vidhi: contemplating Viṣṇu as Varāha in a subtle mandala to transform fear and hostility into inner steadiness, with the promise of siddhi as a fruit of concentrated devotion and disciplined visualization.
Bhakti appears here as form-centered remembrance (sākāra-smaraṇa): the devotee fixes the mind on Varāha’s pure, radiant presence, making divine contemplation the means for both worldly protection and higher attainments.
It reflects applied ritual-technology—mandala-based dhyāna used for specific prayojana (enemy-pacification/protection), aligning with the technical orientation of Book 1.3 where disciplined methods, visualization, and ritual procedure are emphasized.
