Sage Narada (teaching in a Vedanga/Jyotisha context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: vira
It prescribes a precise dhyāna (meditative visualization) of Mangala (Mars) using color, weapons, and mythic origin, aligning the mind with graha-tattva as part of Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa practice.
Bhakti here is expressed as smaraṇa—reverent remembrance and focused contemplation—directed toward a divinely governed cosmic power (the graha), cultivating steadiness and sacred attention rather than mere prediction.
Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa: the verse gives planetary iconography and rāśi-association (Mars in Aries) used for graha-dhyāna and related ritual/astrological applications.
