Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It defines the core character of a Bhagavata: complete non-harming (in body, mind, and speech) together with aparigraha, showing that devotion to Vishnu must be expressed as ethical purity and inner restraint.
Bhakti is presented as lived conduct (ācāra): a devotee protects others from pain and loosens attachment to possessions, making the heart fit for single-pointed remembrance of Bhagavān.
No specific Vedanga (like Vyakarana or Jyotisha) is taught here; the practical takeaway is dharmic discipline—guarding speech, mind, and actions—used as a foundational sādhana supporting bhakti.
