Narada (teaching within the Narada–Sanatkumara dialogue tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It elevates a concrete act of Viṣṇu-temple devotion—establishing a dhvaja (temple banner)—as a powerful form of bhakti capable of burning accumulated pāpa, even when the devotee is heavily tainted by sin.
Bhakti is presented as practical service (sevā) offered directly to Viṣṇu’s abode; the merit comes not from mere theory but from devotional participation in temple worship and honoring Viṣṇu publicly through the dhvaja.
Primarily Kalpa (ritual procedure): the verse implies a codified temple act—dhvaja-sthāpana/dhvaja-dāna—used within pūjā and utsava frameworks, emphasizing correct performance of devotional rites.
