Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that a fast (upavāsa) is not merely self-denial but a devotional offering: one returns to the Deity, performs worship again, and consciously dedicates the observance to God.
Bhakti is shown as the inner intention that completes ritual: worship is repeated with reverence, and the merit of fasting is “offered” to the Lord rather than claimed as personal achievement.
Ritual procedure (kalpa/prayoga) is implied: the verse emphasizes correct sequencing—approach the deity, perform puja, and formally dedicate the vrata/upavāsa—reflecting applied discipline in worship practice.
