Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It signals the Purāṇa’s intended scope by naming its principal thematic sections—cosmic origins (Brahmā/Prakṛti), removal of obstacles (Vighneśa), and devotion-centered narration (Kṛṣṇa-khaṇḍa)—and anchors them in an authoritative dialogue setting.
By explicitly including the Kṛṣṇa-khaṇḍa, the verse indicates that Kṛṣṇa-centered devotion and related teachings form a core strand of the Purāṇa’s narrative and practice-oriented guidance.
This verse is primarily an anukrama (table-of-contents style) statement, emphasizing textual organization and the dialogue framework rather than a specific Vedāṅga; its practical takeaway is how Purāṇas are structured and introduced through recognized speakers like Sūta.
