Adhyaya 21 — Kuvalayashva’s Descent to Patala and the Rescue of Madalasa
मत्पूर्वैः ख्यातिमानीतं मया विस्तारितं पुनः ।
पराक्रमवता वीर त्वया तद्वहुलीकृतम् ॥
matpūrvaiḥ khyātimānītaṃ mayā vistāritaṃ punaḥ / parākramavatā vīra tvayā tadvahulīkṛtam
ငါ့ဘိုးဘွားတို့က ဆောင်ကြဉ်းလာသော ဂုဏ်သတင်းနှင့် ငါက ထပ်မံချဲ့ထွင်ခဲ့သော အရာကို—ရဲရင့်သတ္တိရှိသော သူရဲကောင်းရေ—သင်က ပိုမိုကြီးမားအောင် ထပ်တိုးပေးခဲ့၏။

One should not merely inherit prestige but amplify it through personal excellence; lineage is treated as a trust (ṛṇa-like obligation) to be strengthened by virtue, not passively enjoyed.
Vaṃśa/vaṃśānucarita sensibility (lineage and the deeds that sustain it): it reinforces how Purāṇas connect personal dharma to the continuity of family and social order.
‘Fame’ can symbolize the luminous residue of dharmic action (puṇya-kīrti). Increasing it implies refining one’s inner radiance so that it becomes a beacon for others.
