Shloka 8

नियताहारता नित्यं व्रतचर्या यथाक्रमम्‌ । धर्मो हि धर्मसम्बन्धादिन्द्रियाणां विशेषत:

niyatāhāratā nityaṁ vratacaryā yathākramam | dharmo hi dharmasambandhād indriyāṇāṁ viśeṣataḥ ||

ဘိဿမက ဆိုသည်— «အမြဲတမ်း အစားအစာကို စည်းကမ်းတကျ ထိန်းသိမ်းခြင်းနှင့် ဝရတကို အစဉ်အလာအတိုင်း စနစ်တကျ လိုက်နာကျင့်သုံးခြင်းသည် တကယ်တမ်း တာဝန် (ဓမ္မ) ဖြစ်သည်။ ဓမ္မနှင့် ဆက်နွယ်မှုကြောင့် အင်ဒြိယများသည် အထူးသဖြင့် သန့်စင်လာပြီး ထိန်းချုပ်နိုင်လာသည်»။
