अम्बरीषगाथा—गुणत्रयविभागः तथा लोभनिग्रहः
Ambarīṣa’s Gāthā: The Guṇas and the Restraint of Greed
तृष्णा क्रोधो5भिसंरम्भो राजसास्ते गुणा: स्मृता: । श्रमस्तन्द्रा च मोहश्न त्रयस्ते तामसा गुणा:
tṛṣṇā krodho ’bhisaṃrambho rājasās te guṇāḥ smṛtāḥ | śramas tandrā ca mohaś ca trayas te tāmasā guṇāḥ ||
ဗြာဟ္မဏက ပြောသည်— «တဏ္ဟာ (လိုချင်တပ်မက်မှု)၊ ကရောဓ (ဒေါသ) နှင့် အဘိသံရမ္ဘ (အလွန်အမင်း အလျင်အမြန် ရန်လိုထိုးဖောက်မှု) — ဤသုံးပါးကို ရဇသ (rājasa) ဂုဏ်တို့ဟူ၍ မှတ်ယူကြသည်။ ပင်ပန်းနွမ်းနယ်မှု၊ အိပ်ငိုက်မှုနှင့် မောဟ (မသိမမြင်မှားယွင်းမှု) — ဤသုံးပါးသည် တမသ (tāmasa) ဂုဏ်တို့ ဖြစ်ကြ၏»။
