The Obstacle-Removing Vow

Procedure for Worship of Vināyaka

शूराय धीराय गजाननाय लम्बोदरायैकदंष्ट्राय चैव । एवं पूज्यस्तद्दिने तत्पुनश्च होमं कुर्याद् विघ्नविनाशहेतोः ॥ ५९.८ ॥

śūrāya dhīrāya gajānānāya lambodarāyaikadaṁṣṭrāya caiva | evaṁ pūjyas taddine tat punaś ca homaṁ kuryād vighnavināśahetoḥ || 59.8 ||

Kepada Yang Perkasa, Yang Teguh, Yang Bermuka Gajah, Yang Berperut Buncit, dan juga Yang Bertaring Satu—setelah dipuja demikian pada hari itu, hendaklah dilakukan lagi homa (persembahan api) demi memusnahkan segala halangan.
