Varaha Purana 5.27 — Adhyaya 5, Shloka 27

Reconciliation of Action and Knowledge: Offering All Acts to Nārāyaṇa and the Hymn to the Yajña-Puruṣa

FAQs

It illustrates Purāṇic narrative technique using concrete material imagery (iron nets/lattices) to describe containment and controlled extraction, reflecting the text’s broader epic-storytelling style rather than a legal or doctrinal injunction.

No geographic location is named in this verse; it focuses on an action scene involving fire and an iron mesh/net.

The verse does not present a direct ethical prescription; its philosophical value is indirect, emphasizing disciplined control and methodical action (removing in parts, containing a hazard) within a larger narrative context.
