Varaha Purana 41.13 — Adhyaya 41, Shloka 13

Rite of the Varāha Dvādaśī Vow and an Exemplary Narrative on Expiation for Brahmin-Slaying

वेदवेदाङ्गविदुषे साधुवृत्ताय धीमते । विष्णुभक्ताय विप्रर्षे विशेषेण प्रदापयेत् ॥ ४१.१३ ॥

vedavedāṅgaviduṣe sādhuvṛttāya dhīmate | viṣṇubhaktāya viprarṣe viśeṣeṇa pradāpayet || 41.13 ||

Hendaklah seseorang memberi—terutama—kepada seorang ṛṣi brāhmaṇa yang mengetahui Veda dan vedāṅga, berakhlak mulia, bijaksana, serta berbhakti kepada Viṣṇu.
