Varaha Purana 213.32 — Adhyaya 213, Shloka 32

The Glory of Gokarṇeśvara: Nandin’s Austerities and Śiva’s Boons

क्षामोऽभूत्कृष्णवर्णश्च ततः प्रीतश्च शङ्करः ॥ सम्यगाराधितो भक्त्या नियमेन च तोषितः ॥

kṣāmo ’bhūt kṛṣṇavarṇaś ca tataḥ prītaś ca śaṅkaraḥ || samyag ārādhito bhaktyā niyamena ca toṣitaḥ ||

Dia menjadi kurus dan berkulit gelap; lalu Śaṅkara pun berkenan. Setelah dipuja dengan bhakti menurut tatacara yang benar dan dipuaskan oleh amalan disiplin (niyama) serta warta, Baginda menjadi tenteram dan puas.
