Varaha Purana 212.17 — Adhyaya 212, Shloka 17

An Awakening Description within the Allegory of the Wheel of Saṃsāra

जगृहुर्नियमांस्तांस्तान्भयहेतोरणिन्दिताः ॥ नाचिकेतोऽपि धर्मात्मा पुत्रो दृष्ट्वा तपोधनम्

jagṛhurniyamāṃstāṃstānbhayahetoraninditāḥ || nāciketo'pi dharmātmā putro dṛṣṭvā tapodhanam

Para resi yang tidak tercela menerima pelbagai niyama itu, dengan rasa takut sebagai sebab pendorong. Bahkan Nāciketa, putera yang berjiwa dharma, setelah melihat “kekayaan tapa” (yakni daya/puṇya asketis), turut menautkan hatinya kepada dharma.
