पाञ्चालनगरी रम्या गङ्गायाश्चोत्तरे तटे ॥ तस्यां तौ पितरौ मह्यं वसतश्च यदृच्छया

pāñcāla-nagarī ramyā gaṅgāyāś cottare taṭe || tasyāṃ tau pitarau mahyaṃ vasataś ca yadṛcchayā

Ada kota Pāñcāla yang indah di tebing utara Sungai Gaṅgā. Di sana kedua-dua ibu bapaku tinggal, sebagaimana terjadi menurut keadaan.
