nīlāṃjananibho daityo nihataścāṃtakaḥ purā | tasya rodayitā strīṇāṃ nīlarudrastataḥ smṛtaḥ
Pada zaman dahulu, seorang daitya bernama Antaka, gelap seperti celak biru, telah dibunuh. Kerana dialah punca ratapan para wanita, maka atas sebab itu ia dikenang sebagai “Nīlarudra”.
