यस्मात्तेषु विनिक्षिप्य सहस्रांशं स्वतेजसाम् । अस्माकं दत्तवान्रुद्रो रक्षार्थं जगतां शिवः

Transliteration

yasmātteṣu vinikṣipya sahasrāṃśaṃ svatejasām | asmākaṃ dattavānrudro rakṣārthaṃ jagatāṃ śivaḥ

Translation

“Kerana Rudra—Śiva, Pelindung dunia yang membawa keberkatan, telah menanamkan ke dalam senjata-senjata itu seribu bahagian daripada sinar api kemuliaan-Nya sendiri, lalu mengurniakannya kepada kami demi menjaga ciptaan.”
