किमर्थं वरशापं तु तस्य दत्तं द्विजैः पुरा । सर्वं विस्तरतो ब्रूहि महान्मे संशयोऽत्र वै
kimarthaṃ varaśāpaṃ tu tasya dattaṃ dvijaiḥ purā | sarvaṃ vistarato brūhi mahānme saṃśayo'tra vai
Atas sebab apakah anugerah dan sumpahan itu dahulu diberikan kepadanya oleh para resi brāhmaṇa (dvija)? Ceritakanlah kepadaku semuanya dengan terperinci; sesungguhnya keraguan besar telah timbul dalam diriku di sini.
