चंडोवाच । उग्रात्प्रतिग्रहाद्यस्माद्बिभ्यत्येते महेश्वराः । बलीयांसो दुर्बलवत्तथा चैव बिभेम्यहम्
caṃḍovāca | ugrātpratigrahādyasmādbibhyatyete maheśvarāḥ | balīyāṃso durbalavattathā caiva bibhemyaham
Caṇḍa berkata: “Kerana penerimaan pemberian yang keras (tidak wajar), bahkan para bhakta Maheśvara yang perkasa pun menjadi takut. Walau kuat, mereka menggigil seperti yang lemah—maka aku juga takut.”
