Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 53

प्राणास्तु वायवः प्रोक्तास्तदाराधननाम तत् । प्राणनाथेति संप्रोक्तं मेऽधुना तद्भविष्यति

prāṇāstu vāyavaḥ proktāstadārādhananāma tat | prāṇanātheti saṃproktaṃ me'dhunā tadbhaviṣyati

Prāṇa dikatakan sebagai hembusan nafas kehidupan; itulah sesungguhnya nama bagi pemujaan. Dinyatakan sebagai “Prāṇanātha”—mulai kini itulah nama ibadatku untuk-Nya.
