एवंविधान्पिशाचांस्तु दृष्ट्वा दीनानुकम्पया । तेभ्योऽहमवदं किञ्चित्कारुण्यादल्पचेतसाम्

evaṃvidhānpiśācāṃstu dṛṣṭvā dīnānukampayā | tebhyo'hamavadaṃ kiñcitkāruṇyādalpacetasām

Melihat piśāca yang sedemikian rupa, aku tergerak oleh belas kasihan terhadap yang papa. Maka, kerana rahmat kepada mereka yang cetek pengertian, aku menuturkan beberapa patah kata kepada mereka—
