Īśvara (Śiva) (deduced from immediate chapter transition context)
Tirtha: Prabhāsakṣetra (Ambikā upāsanā)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Two devotees before Ambikā: one adorned with symbols of power and luxury, receiving worldly boons; another simple, luminous, offering flowers with humility, ascending toward a radiant divine realm—illustrating guṇa-based outcomes.
The fruit of worship is shaped by inner quality (guṇa): pure (sāttvika) devotion leads toward divinity, while desire-driven worship tends toward power-seeking outcomes.
The verse is embedded in the Prabhāsakṣetra Māhātmya, within the sanctified landscape of Prabhāsa.
The verse focuses less on external ritual and more on the inner mode of worship—cultivating sāttvika bhakti as the key discipline.
