Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 28

गोमत्यां संगमे स्नात्वा दद्याद्दानं विशेषतः । निर्मलं स्थानमाप्नोति यत्र गत्वा न शोचति

gomatyāṃ saṃgame snātvā dadyāddānaṃ viśeṣataḥ | nirmalaṃ sthānamāpnoti yatra gatvā na śocati

Setelah mandi di pertemuan Sungai Gomātī, hendaklah seseorang bersedekah dengan niat yang khusus. Ia mencapai kediaman yang tanpa noda; setelah sampai ke sana, tiada lagi dukacita.
