Bahkan mereka yang ternoda oleh dosa mencuri harta Brahmana, dan juga mereka yang mencuri harta milik dewa di kuil, menjadi suci hanya dengan mandi di Sungai Gomatī—tiada keraguan tentangnya.
Skanda (deduced from Dvārakā Māhātmya narrative convention within Prabhāsa Khaṇḍa)
Tirtha: Gomatī (Dvārakā)
Type: ghat
Scene: A repentant offender approaches the Gomatī ghat, offers restitution at a shrine, then bathes; priests witness the act; the river is depicted as luminous, signifying purification beyond doubt.
The tīrtha is portrayed as extraordinarily purifying, capable of cleansing even severe moral transgressions through sincere contact.
The Gomatī river tīrtha in the Dvārakā sacred region.
Snāna (bathing) in the Gomatī, emphasized as effective even ‘by bathing alone’.
