स्कान्दं पुराणमेतच्च कुमारेण पुरोद्धृतम् । यः शृणोति सतां मध्ये नरः पापाद्विमुच्यते

Transliteration

skāndaṃ purāṇametacca kumāreṇa puroddhṛtam | yaḥ śṛṇoti satāṃ madhye naraḥ pāpādvimucyate

Translation

Skanda Purāṇa ini mula-mula ditampilkan oleh Kumāra, Sang Pemuda Ilahi. Sesiapa yang mendengarnya di tengah-tengah orang saleh akan dibebaskan daripada dosa.
