Transliteration

purā devayuge rājā kaliṃgonāma dānavaḥ | jarāmaraṇahīnosau devānāṃ ca bhayaṃkaraḥ

Translation

Pada zaman purba para dewa, ada seorang raja dānava bernama Kaliṅga. Bebas daripada tua dan mati, dia menjadi kengerian bahkan bagi para dewa.
