कस्यचित्त्वथ कालस्य ब्राह्मणोऽनेन घातितः । अंतःपुरे निशाकाले प्रविष्टो जारकर्मकृत
kasyacittvatha kālasya brāhmaṇo'nena ghātitaḥ | aṃtaḥpure niśākāle praviṣṭo jārakarmakṛta
“Namun pada suatu ketika, seorang brāhmaṇa telah dibunuh olehnya—yang telah masuk ke dalam istana bahagian dalam pada waktu malam, melakukan perbuatan zina.”
