एवं तस्य व्रतस्थस्य जग्मुर्वर्षशतानि च । तत्र भीतास्ततो देवा ब्रह्मविष्णुपुरःसराः
evaṃ tasya vratasthasya jagmurvarṣaśatāni ca | tatra bhītāstato devā brahmaviṣṇupuraḥsarāḥ
Demikianlah, ketika dia teguh dalam vratanya, beratus-ratus tahun pun berlalu. Lalu para dewa—dipimpin oleh Brahmā dan Viṣṇu—menjadi takut kerana tapa itu.
