Type: tirtha
Listener: kingly audience
Scene: A dying pilgrim on the tīrtha’s bank, attended by family and ascetics; the pilgrim’s mind is steady in faith, while a gentle Śiva-light (or Tripurāri’s presence) draws the subtle self upward; dark sin-forms dissolve at the water’s edge.
Faithful surrender at a sanctified Śaiva tīrtha is depicted as transformative enough to overcome even heavy karmic burdens and lead to mokṣa.
The Nāgarakhaṇḍa tīrtha of this chapter, presented as a mokṣa-prada (liberation-giving) place.
Not a ritual but a condition: departing life there with śraddhā (faithful consciousness).
