atha maṃkaṇakonāma maharṣiḥ saṃśitavrataḥ | kṣetre tatra samāyāto viṣavidyāvicakṣaṇaḥ
Kemudian datanglah seorang maharṣi bernama Maṃkaṇaka, teguh dalam ikrar-ikrar sucinya dan mahir dalam ilmu tentang racun, ke kṣetra itu.
