Type: pitha
Scene: An elderly couple at a sanctified pīṭha within a tīrtha precinct; the man seated in japa posture with rudrākṣa-mālā, a small śiva-liṅga or pīṭha-stone before him; attendants offering water and bilva; a subtle aura indicating mantra-siddhi and the blessing of progeny.
The Purāṇic view integrates worldly aims with dharma: when sought through sacred means (tīrtha and japa), even difficult desires become attainable.
The same powerful pīṭha of Adhyāya 36, presented as granting putra-phala (progeny).
Japa of specified “puṁliṅga” (masculine-form) formulas/mantras for one who seeks sons.
