Scene: At a quiet riverbank after bathing, a devotee faces south, offering water-libations with cupped hands, while a subtle luminous presence symbolizes the ‘hidden Deity’ witnessing the rite.
Purification is completed through gratitude and continuity: after bathing, daily tarpaṇa offered with faith yields great spiritual benefit.
The verse is rite-focused; the broader section remains within the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra tīrthamāhātmya context.
Perform pitṛ-tarpaṇa with śraddhā, especially at the conclusion of snāna, as a daily practice.
