तच्छ्रुत्वा भर्तृयज्ञस्तु तानुवाच द्विजोत्तमान् । श्रूयतामभिधास्यामि यदेतत्कारणं स्थितम्
tacchrutvā bhartṛyajñastu tānuvāca dvijottamān | śrūyatāmabhidhāsyāmi yadetatkāraṇaṃ sthitam
Setelah mendengar demikian, Bhartṛyajña berkata kepada para dwija yang utama: “Dengarlah—aku akan menjelaskan sebab yang telah ditetapkan, yang berdiri di sebalik amalan ini.”
