ब्राह्मण्युवाच । एषा मे सुसखी साध्वी राजपुत्री यशस्विनी । ख्याता रत्नावतीनाम प्राणेभ्योऽपिगरीयसी
brāhmaṇyuvāca | eṣā me susakhī sādhvī rājaputrī yaśasvinī | khyātā ratnāvatīnāma prāṇebhyo'pigarīyasī
Wanita Brahmin itu berkata: “Inilah sahabat karibku—seorang sādvī yang suci, puteri raja yang termasyhur. Dia dikenali sebagai Ratnāvatī, dan bagiku dia lebih berharga daripada nafas hidupku sendiri.”
