Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 39

न मे पाणिग्रहं कश्चिन्नागरोऽत्र करिष्यति । बुध्यमानस्तु स्मृत्यर्थं वक्ष्य माणं वरानने

na me pāṇigrahaṃ kaścinnāgaro'tra kariṣyati | budhyamānastu smṛtyarthaṃ vakṣya māṇaṃ varānane

Di sini tiada seorang Nāgara pun akan melaksanakan upacara menyambut tanganku dalam perkahwinan (pāṇigraha). Namun, wahai yang berwajah elok, apabila dia mengerti, dia akan berkata agar hal ini diingati sebagai teladan/preceden.
