ततश्च नियमं कृत्वा उपवाससमुद्भवम् । गौरीनामसमुच्चार्य श्रद्धापूतेन चेतसा

tataśca niyamaṃ kṛtvā upavāsasamudbhavam | gaurīnāmasamuccārya śraddhāpūtena cetasā

Kemudian, setelah mengambil niyama—ikrar disiplin yang lahir daripada puasa—seraya melafazkan nama Gaurī dengan hati yang disucikan oleh śraddhā (iman), hendaklah ia meneruskan amalan dengan tertib.
