स्नानं कृत्वा नरस्तस्मिन्यस्तल्लिंगं प्रपश्यति । करोति जागरं रात्रौ तस्मिन्नेव दिनेदिने । सोऽद्यापि वत्सरं यावन्नापमृत्युमवाप्नुयात्

snānaṃ kṛtvā narastasminyastalliṃgaṃ prapaśyati | karoti jāgaraṃ rātrau tasminneva dinedine | so'dyāpi vatsaraṃ yāvannāpamṛtyumavāpnuyāt

Setelah mandi di situ, sesiapa yang memandang liṅga itu dan berjaga malam (jāgara) di sana, hari demi hari—bahkan selama setahun penuh—tidak akan mengalami kematian pramatang (apamṛtyu).
