शुक्रेण कथितं सर्वं माघकृष्णे निशागमे । चतुर्दश्यां शुचिर्भूत्वा यस्तल्लिंगं प्रपूजयेत् । कालाघ्रातोऽपि न प्राणैः स पुमांस्त्यज्यते क्वचित्
śukreṇa kathitaṃ sarvaṃ māghakṛṣṇe niśāgame | caturdaśyāṃ śucirbhūtvā yastalliṃgaṃ prapūjayet | kālāghrāto'pi na prāṇaiḥ sa pumāṃstyajyate kvacit
Segala hal ini telah dinyatakan oleh Śukra pada malam penutup paruh gelap bulan Māgha. Sesiapa yang pada hari bulan keempat belas menyucikan diri lalu memuja Liṅga itu dengan penuh takzim—walau disentuh oleh Kala (maut) sekalipun—tidak akan pernah ditinggalkan oleh nafas hayat (prāṇa).
