अथ सीता परित्यक्ता तथा भ्राता स लक्ष्मणः । यदर्थं तत्र संप्राप्तः स्वयमेव द्विजोत्तमाः
atha sītā parityaktā tathā bhrātā sa lakṣmaṇaḥ | yadarthaṃ tatra saṃprāptaḥ svayameva dvijottamāḥ
“Demikianlah Sītā telah disingkirkan, dan demikian juga saudaraku Lakṣmaṇa. Atas tujuan itulah aku datang ke sini sendiri, wahai yang utama di antara kaum dwijati.”
