Kārttikeya bersabda: “Wahai gunung-gunung yang mulia! Dengarlah kata-kataku sekarang. Kamu akan menjadi tempat suci yang dihormati dan diziarahi, baik oleh para pelaksana upacara (karma) mahupun para arif yang mengenal kebenaran.”
Kārttikeya
Tirtha: Kedārakhaṇḍa giri-tīrthas (collective)
Type: peak
Listener: Giri-vara (excellent mountains)
Scene: Skanda speaks authoritatively to the assembled mountains; in the background, two groups appear: ritualists with offerings and fires, and contemplatives seated in meditation—both approaching the same sacred peaks.
True tīrthas welcome both paths—karma (ritual discipline) and jñāna (spiritual insight)—uniting seekers in sanctity.
The Kedārakhaṇḍa Himalayan region in general; the verse frames mountains themselves as future tīrthas.
No single rite is specified; it foretells that both ritual practitioners and contemplatives will honor these places.
