तदा महेशः स जगाम स्वर्गं प्रकंपयन्गां प्रपदा भरेण । स वामनो बटुरूपी च साक्षाद्विष्णुः परात्मा सुरकार्यहेतोः
tadā maheśaḥ sa jagāma svargaṃ prakaṃpayangāṃ prapadā bhareṇa | sa vāmano baṭurūpī ca sākṣādviṣṇuḥ parātmā surakāryahetoḥ
Ketika itu, Mahēśa melangkah menuju syurga, menggoncangkan bumi dengan berat tapak kakinya. Vāmana dalam rupa seorang batur muda itu tiada lain ialah Viṣṇu sendiri—Paramātman—yang bertindak demi tujuan para dewa.
