रविरुवाच । देवदेव जगतांपते विभो भर्ग भीम भव चंद्रभूषण । भूतनाथ भवभीतिहारक त्वां नतोस्मि नतवांछितप्रद
raviruvāca | devadeva jagatāṃpate vibho bharga bhīma bhava caṃdrabhūṣaṇa | bhūtanātha bhavabhītihāraka tvāṃ natosmi natavāṃchitaprada
Ravi berkata: “Wahai Dewa segala dewa, Penguasa sekalian alam, Tuhan Yang Maha Meliputi; wahai Bharga, wahai Yang Mengerikan, wahai Bhava berhias bulan; wahai Bhūtanātha, penghapus takut akan putaran kelahiran—aku bersujud kepada-Mu, pemberi hajat bagi yang tunduk.”
Sūrya (Ravi)
Tirtha: Kāśī-kṣetra (Śiva as Bhavabhītihāraka)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śiva (Tryambaka/Pinākin)
Scene: Sūrya speaks a formal stotra before Śiva: Devadeva, Jagatpati, Bharga, Bhīma, Bhava with crescent moon—Śiva stands tranquil yet awe-inspiring, granting refuge.
Śiva is the refuge who removes saṃsāra-fear; surrender (namaskāra) opens the way to protection and fulfilled aspirations.
Though the verse is a hymn, it belongs to the Kāśī Khaṇḍa’s praise of Śiva’s accessible lordship in Vārāṇasī.
The implied practice is stotra-pāṭha (recitation of praise) and namaskāra (bowing) to Śiva.
