tridaṃḍādi yateruktamupalakṣaṇamatra vai | etallakṣaṇahīnastu prāyaścittī dine dine

Di sini telah dinyatakan tanda-tanda seorang yati (pertapa), seperti tri-daṇḍa dan seumpamanya. Namun sesiapa yang tidak memiliki ciri-ciri itu hendaklah melakukan prāyaścitta dari hari ke hari.
