अयमेव वरो नाथ प्रसन्नोसि यदीश्वर । नान्यं वरं वृणे त्वत्तः करुणामृतवारिधे
ayameva varo nātha prasannosi yadīśvara | nānyaṃ varaṃ vṛṇe tvattaḥ karuṇāmṛtavāridhe
Wahai Nātha, inilah satu-satunya anugerahku: wahai Īśvara, jika Engkau berkenan, aku tidak memohon pemberian lain darimu—wahai lautan amṛta belas kasih.
Budha (continuing stuti)
Tirtha: Kāśī (Avimukta-kṣetra)
Type: kshetra
Scene: The devotee, eyes moist yet serene, asks only for Śiva’s satisfaction; Śiva’s expression is compassionate, like an ocean of nectar, with a gentle blessing gesture (abhaya/varada).
The highest ‘boon’ is divine favor itself; the devotee seeks Śiva, not worldly rewards.
Within Kāśīkhaṇḍa, the ethos of Kāśī devotion is implied—seeking Śiva’s grace as the supreme merit.
No external rite is specified; the verse prescribes renunciation of ulterior motives in prayer.
