tato maunena bhuñjīta na kuryāddaṃtagharṣaṇam | prakṣālitavyahastasya dakṣiṇāṃguṣṭhamūlataḥ
Sesudah itu hendaklah makan dalam diam dan jangan menggesek atau mengerik gigi. Dengan tangan yang telah dibasuh, menurut tatacara, mulakan (menyentuh/mengambil makanan) dari pangkal ibu jari kanan.
